I have painted all my life and was initially inspired and fascinated by my fathers artworks when I was a child. My childhood was in Tasmania and was filled with beautiful landscapes and animals. I later attended Sydney College of the Arts and Randwick School of Arts.

 

I presently live in the beautiful and creative Northern Rivers of NSW. I live and breathe animals and have always shared my life with them. I sometimes paint people, landscapes, trees and even the odd abstract. Currently I paint predominantly in water based oils.

'When commencing a new painting there’s a moment when the spirit of the animal arrives on the canvas, from that point I feel the animal take over, and I’m just the vehicle. This is the magic moment that awes me every time.'

I paint animal images from my own life and wild animals from my overseas travels. I also do commission paintings of other peoples’ beloved animals from their favourite photograph. Please contact me if you’d like to immortalize your own animal/s on canvas.
